Learn Lessons From Celebrity Antics
Dr. Bonnie teaches telltale signs that a partner might stray through looking at high profile celebrities who act out and behave inappropriately. Bad behavior is a symptom of serious underlying issues.

Dr. Bonnie tells individuals devastated by their cheating partner to look no further than celebrity antics for answers to why their significant other has crossed the monogamous line. “Charlie Sheen’s reported evening of ransacking a hotel, having a meltdown while naked and in the presence of an adult film star isn’t as alarming to me as his response: “The way I look at it, if you have expensive tastes, you gotta be prepared for expensive losses,” Sheen told Extra. “If a guy has one bad night everybody goes insane and panics… I’m not panicking.” (http://www.sheknows.com/entertainment/articles/820114/Charlie-Sheen-explains-his-bad-night).
“Sheen’s response minimizes the magnitude of his behavior, which shows his denial about some serious issues. When a partner thinks their behavior is “no big deal” and that “everyone screws up at times,” they are not facing the underlying problem. Asking for a pass doesn’t solve the grave issues that need to be dealt with for sustainable results,” explains Dr. Bonnie. Many people try to change, but fall off the wagon, and have no idea why. Whether it is sex, alcohol, drugs, gambling or lying, the root cause must be dealt with. “I’m not Sheen’s therapist, so I can’t diagnose him, however, I can give insights for why people act in ways that are dangerous to themselves, their relationships, or others around them,” adds Dr. Bonnie.
Dr. Bonnie teaches couples that acting from impulse and not judgment is a clue they need therapy, and possibly medication or supplements to correct a chemical imbalance. Her book, Make Up Don’t Break Up teaches communication skills, warning signs of serious problems, and solutions for becoming safe, enduring, loving, and drama free in relationships.
